Responsibilities :
  • Technology Group/Governance Function/ITAM Vendor Asset Management: The IT Asset Management (ITAM) supports the Bank's Governance Function and it oversees process, policy, standards and strategic priorities for the Bank's Technology Group and also manages strategic IT vendors and IT assets.
  • This group manages the governance, assets and vendors supporting the Bank's technology.
  • This role is expected to support the ITAM team's functional roles, which include:
  • PC, mobility & Peripheral asset budgeting and purchases, including management of the ITAM management solution, asset management controls and annual attestations from employees validating deployment records to assets on hand.
  • More recently, Software Asset Management (SAM), has been launched with a discovery tool and an objective to rationalize and reconcile deployed software assets on PC in the upcoming year and then optimize software the following year.
  • The Bank maintains two complimentary systems (MEGA & CMDB) that manages both commercially available applications and applications that are internally developed.
  • The primary scope of this effort is a hands on role to manage risk associated with each application and its inter-relationships to various other business system solutions across the bank.
  • Naturally, interactions with Vendors are necessary when managing software, hardware and services from technology vendors.
  • The group maintains a structured Vendor Management program to monitor, measure and control technology vendors.
  • The ideal resource will be a flexible resource with the capability to move between the above disciplines to support the team's overall goals.
  • Each team member is a SME in a specific ITAM discipline and has the ability to support at least one of the other disciplines.
  • The resource have experience as a SME in at least one of the disciplines, will have substantial experience in one other discipline, a wiliness to learn and support the others and will have an overall familiarity with IT Asset Management from either a technology or IT Sourcing perspective.
  • Data Analytics for Assets and/or vendor performance management.
  • Reconciliation and/or remediation of asset deployment vs. asset system records.
  • Interaction with the above systems for reporting, decision support and data entry.
  • Representing the interest of the team with business groups, projects and in work groups.

Required Skills:
  • Undergraduate Degree in a related discipline
  • Formulating solutions to/for ITAM related business processes. Strong contract comprehension
  • Strong analytical abilities using tools such as Excel or Tableau
  • Familiarity with software license types and terms.
  • Previous experience with vendor performance metrics.
  • Broad exposure to IT asset lifecycle process.
  • Minimum five years' experience in an IT Asset Management function for a large organization, preferably in a financial institution.
  • Understanding of vendor management principles
  • Familiarity with contracts and ability to understand and interpret IT contracts for SLAs and software license grants and restrictions
  • Experience in operations, performance management, metric development and monitoring
  • Strong organizational, communication and presentation skills
  • Strong client relationship building and customer service
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to collect and analyze IT asset deployment and usage data via asset management systems, Excel Pivot Tables or business intelligence tools (Tableau).
  • Interpretation and presentation of the data to groups and senior management is also required.
